Great Big Podcast
The Great Place, also known as Fort Cavazos, needs a Great Big Podcast. And this is it! This podcast seeks to shed a light on what Fort Cavazos has to offer its Soldiers, family members, civilians and contractors. It peels back the layer that separates the U.S. Army from our civilian family to inform listeners. And of course, it provides a weekly source of entertainment with monthly feature segments of ”Book & Movie of the Month” and ”Traveling Soldier.” Episodes vary every week as Fort Cavazos offers a variety of services and hosts a multitude of amazing personnel. Listeners can expect Soldier features, an illuminating light on directorates across the installation, and a lot of laughs from the co-hosts.

After leading the charge, sounding the alarm on coronavirus before most others, then deftly delivering the straight facts on COVID-19, what it's capable of and how to defend yourself, we're sick of it! Absolutely sick, sick, sick of hearing about coronavirus!!! So for lucky episode 13, after comparing toilet paper stashes, the crew kicks corona to the curb and meets with the 36th Engineers elite female Sappers. Then Charlie talks to a pair of unexpected nutritionists. It's a delightfully peaceful podcast that's sure to take your mind off of all the other mess. A vacation in your ear! Dave and Charlie sit down with 2 Army heavy hitters: the the deputy commanding officer of the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and the official public health doctor for III Corps, cutting through the junk and getting to the heart of the matter. No dancing around, this is full-on truth. Then we come up for air and talk going green with Fort Hood's recycling team. It's a fun conversation, but we know you really came for the coronavirus talk.Music provided with expressed written permission by the following artists:Will Courtney (http://www.willcourtneymusic.com)The CoronadosThe HubcatsJustin StokesThis podcast is a production of U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hood and Fort Hood Public Affairs.
