Antiterrorism Awareness Month

The month of August is designated as Antiterrorism Awareness Month throughout the Department of the Army. Here at Fort Hood, there are a lot of training sessions throughout the month - including the mandatory Antiterrorism Awareness Level One training - provided by the Fort Hood Force Protection Office. Give Back, Hit the Gyms and Get a Job

This week's podcast features two special guests focusing on helping the Fort Hood military community, extending fitness center hours and even offering employment on post. First up is the president of the Fort Hood Spouses Club, which is hosting its annual Super Sign-Up event from 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Aug. 19, at the Phantom Warrior Center. Attention History Buffs: Fort Hood is Building a New Museum

Steven Draper, Fort Hood museums director, stops by the studio this week to provide an update on construction of the National Mounted Warrior Museum, which will be located between the Visitor's Center and the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment's stables. The project is moving along nicely, with a "soft-opening" projected for the summer of 2022.
